Platelet-Rich Plasma (PRP) therapy is a regenerative treatment that uses a patient's own blood to accelerate healing in injured tendons, ligaments, muscles, and joints. The process involves drawing a small amount of blood, spinning it in a centrifuge to concentrate the platelets and growth factors, and then injecting this "rich plasma" back into the specific area of injury.

Because it utilizes the body's natural healing mechanisms, PRP is often used for conditions like osteoarthritis, tennis elbow, and Achilles tendonitis, particularly when traditional therapies haven't worked. While many patients report reduced pain and improved function, results can vary, and the treatment is still being studied for some applications.
